North Carolina High School Soccer - McDowell toppled by Freedom
August 28, 2024: Marion, NC 28752 Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) boosters exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host McDowell Titans (Marion, NC), 5-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Freedom moves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Patriots host Hickory (Hickory, NC) to clash with the Red Tornadoes in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 3. The Red Tornadoes come into the test with a record of 4-2. Hickory won 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC)
The Titans now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Madison for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 3. McDowell will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Erwin (Asheville, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 3-2.
