West Virginia High School Soccer - South Charleston overwhelmed by Spring Valley
August 28, 2025: Huntington, WV 25704 In Thursday's league contest, the Spring Valley Timberwolves (Huntington, WV) soccer team routed the visiting South Charleston Black Eagles (South Charleston, WV), by a tally of 5-1.
The Timberwolves now hold a 4-0 record. They play next when they host Greenup County for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 2. Spring Valley will encounter a Musketeers squad coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Paintsville (Paintsville, KY). The Musketeers record now stands at 2-3.
With the loss, South Charleston moves to 0-3 on the year. The Black eagles host Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV) to encounter the Flying Eagles in a Coalfield AAA challenge on Saturday, August 30. The Flying Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Woodrow Wilson lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Herbert Hoover (Elkview, WV)
