Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Manchester Squires (North Manchester, IN) and the host Wabash Apaches (Wabash, IN), saw Manchester's soccer squad hold off Wabash by a count of 2-1.

The Squires (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Tippecanoe Valley (Akron, IN). The Vikings enter the non-league battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, Tippecanoe Valley was edged by Bremen (Bremen, IN), 14-0, in a league battle.

In their next game, the Apaches meet the Northwestern Tigers (Kokomo, IN) in a Three Rivers match, on Saturday, August 30. Wabash will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 3-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Oak Hill (Converse, IN).
