August 28, 2025: Pembroke, NC 28372 The Purnell Swett Rams soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting South Columbus Stallions to 2 in the Rams non-league victory on Thursday.
The Rams now hold a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Red Springs for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 2. Purnell Swett will encounter a Red Devils squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC). The Red Devils record now stands at 5-1.
With the loss, South Columbus moves to 0-4 on the year. The Stallions travel to West Columbus (Cerro Gordo, NC) to encounter the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 2. The Vikings go into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
