The Academy of Richmond County Musketeers softball team (Augusta, GA), was nipped 10-9 in Thursday's league match with the visiting Westside Patriots (Augusta, GA)

The Patriots (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Hephzibah (Hephzibah, GA). The Rebels go into the 3A Region 4 match with a 0-4 record. In their last match, Hephzibah was nipped by West Laurens (Dexter, GA), 19-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Musketeers battle the Burke County Bears (Waynesboro, GA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, September 3. Academy of Richmond County will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Bears go into the match with a 5-6 record after their 14-2 non-league loss to Edmund Burke Academy (Waynesboro, GA).
