The Elgin Comets volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Hardin Northern Polar Bears to 1 in the Comets league triumph on Thursday.

The Comets now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Triad for a non-league match on Saturday, August 30. Elgin will confront a Cardinals squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Fairbanks (Milford Center, OH). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-2.

The Polar Bears (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Ada (Ada, OH). The Bulldogs enter the non-league match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Ada gained a win over Perry (Lima, OH), 3-0, in a non-league bout.
