In Thursday's non-league match, the John Marshall Monarchs (Glen Dale, WV) volleyball squad overcame the visiting Parkersburg South Patriots (Parkersburg, WV), by a margin of 2-0.

The Monarchs now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Weir for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 2. John Marshall will clash with a Red Riders team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Catholic Central (Steubenville, OH). The Red Riders record now stands at 1-4.
