The Johnson Jaguars volleyball team (San Antonio, TX), was tipped 2-1 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host St. John's Mavericks (Houston, TX)

The Mavericks (15-7) will now prepare for their contest against Brandeis (San Antonio, TX). The Broncos go into the non-league test with a 6-14 record. In their last test, Brandeis was edged by The Woodlands (The Woodlands, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Jaguars meet the Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles (Corpus Christi, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 29. Johnson will attempt to upgrade on its 10-13 season record.
