Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Ray Texans (Corpus Christi, TX) and the host Refugio Bobcats (Refugio, TX), observed Ray's volleyball team hold off Refugio by a count of 2-1.

The Texans (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against Three Rivers (Three Rivers, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Three Rivers was tipped by Falls City (Falls City, TX), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Bobcats now own a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host George West for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 2. Refugio will encounter a Longhorns squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Fox Tech (San Antonio, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 12-6.
