Oklahoma High School Softball - Mason holds off Strother
August 29, 2023: Mason, OK 74859 Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Mason Eagles (Mason, OK) and the visiting Strother Yellowjackets (Seminole, OK), witnessed Mason's softball squad tip Strother by a count of 11-9.
The Eagles now sport a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Varnum for a Class B match on Tuesday, September 5. Mason will meet a Whippets squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Okemah (Okemah, OK). The Whippets record now stands at 6-15.
With the loss, Strother moves to 7-10 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Alex (Alex, OK) to meet the Longhorns in a Class A match on Thursday, August 31. The Longhorns go into the match with a record of 6-12. Alex lost 9-0 in their recent league match against Fort Cobb-Broxton (Fort Cobb, OK)
