With the win, Hoover advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Huskies host Winfield (Winfield, WV) to encounter the Generals in a Cardinal battle on Friday, September 6. The Generals go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Winfield won 48-0 in their recent non-league battle against Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV)

The Patriots now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Brooke for a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. Independence will encounter a Bruins team coming off a 35-0 non-league loss to Beaver (Lisbon, OH). The Bruins record now stands at 0-1.
