California High School Football - Granada holds off Monte Vista
August 29, 2024: Livermore, CA 94550 The Granada Matadors (Livermore, CA) football tipped the visiting Monte Vista Mustangs (Danville, CA), 7-6 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Matadors now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heritage for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 5. Granada will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 36-8 non-league loss to Amador Valley (Pleasanton, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Monte Vista drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Freedom (Oakley, CA) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league outing on Thursday, September 5. The Falcons come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Freedom lost 28-7 in their recent non-league outing against Lincoln (Stockton, CA)
