Giddings Buffaloes (Giddings, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Freeman Golden Eagles (Katy, TX), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Giddings improves its record to 10-17 on the season. The Buffaloes travel to Shiner (Shiner, TX) to face the Comanches in a non-league test on Friday, August 30. The Comanches go into the test with a record of 8-9. Shiner lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Sacred Heart (Hallettsville, TX)

The Golden Eagles now own a 1-4 record.
