August 29, 2024: Penn Laird, VA 22846 Wilson Memorial Green Hornets (Fishersville, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Spotswood Trailblazers (Penn Laird, VA), 3-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Wilson Memorial improves its record to 1-2 on the season. The Green Hornets host Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA) to face the Flying Flucos in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 3. The Flying Flucos go into the test with a record of 2-1. Fluvanna County lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA)
The Trailblazers now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Prince Edward County for a non-league test on Saturday, August 31. Spotswood will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-1.
