The Union County Yellowjackets football team (Union, SC), was crushed 35-0 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Fairfield Central Griffins (Winnsboro, SC)

With the win, Fairfield Central advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Griffins travel to C.A. Johnson (Columbia, SC) to battle the Hornets in a non-league contest on Friday, September 5. The Hornets enter the contest with a record of 1-1. C.A. Johnson won 44-18 in their recent non-league contest against Branchville (Branchville, SC)

Coming up next, the Yellowjackets battle the York Cougars (York, SC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 5. Union County will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 0-2 record after their 28-14 non-league loss to Nation Ford (Fort Mill, SC).
