South Carolina High School Football - Chester prevails Fairfield Central

October 10, 2025: Chester, SC 29706

In Friday's league match, the host Chester Cyclones football squad scored a good 29-16 triumph over the Fairfield Central Griffins.

The Cyclones (5-3) will now prepare for their match against Columbia (Columbia, SC). The Capitals come into the AA Region 3 battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, Columbia was dropped by Mid-Carolina (Prosperity, SC), 32-8, in a league battle.

The Griffins now have a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Eau Claire for a AA Region 3 battle on Friday, October 17. Fairfield Central will play a Shamrocks team coming off a 41-8 league loss to Chester (Chester, SC). The Shamrocks record now stands at 4-3.
