The Fairfield Central Griffins felled the host Eau Claire Shamrocks football squad by a margin of 49-20 in Friday's league test.

The Griffins now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they host Columbia for a AA Region 3 test on Friday, October 31.

With the defeat, Eau Claire drops to 4-4 on the campaign. The Shamrocks travel to Columbia (Columbia, SC) to face the Capitals in a AA Region 3 challenge on Friday, October 24. The Capitals enter the challenge with a record of 3-5. Columbia lost 40-0 in their recent league challenge against Chester (Chester, SC)
