South Bend Saint Joseph Huskies (South Bend, IN) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Fort Wayne South Side Archers (Fort Wayne, IN), 26-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, South Bend Saint Joseph improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Huskies host New Prairie (New Carlisle, IN) to play the Cougars in a Northern Indiana battle on Friday, September 5. The Cougars go into the battle with a record of 0-2. New Prairie lost 51-14 in their recent non-league match against NorthWood (Nappanee, IN)

Coming up next, the Archers meet the Homestead Spartans (Fort Wayne, IN) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 5. Fort Wayne South Side will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Spartans come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 13-10 non-league win over Noblesville (Noblesville, IN).
