Texas High School Football - Mission thwarted by Mission Veterans Memorial

Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots (Mission, TX) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Mission Eagles (Mission, TX), 28-0 in a non-league match.

The Patriots (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Edcouch-Elsa (Edcouch, TX). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Edcouch-Elsa defeated Donna (Donna, TX), 20-0, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Eagles meet the Weslaco East Wildcats (Weslaco, TX) in a non-league test, on Thursday, September 4. Mission will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 0-1 record after their 45-28 non-league loss to Sharyland (Mission, TX).
