West Virginia High School Football - Sherman nips Sissonville

August 29, 2025: Seth, WV 25181

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Sherman Tide (Seth, WV) and the visiting Sissonville Indians (Charleston, WV), witnessed Sherman's football squad edge Sissonville by a tally of 48-41.

The Tide (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Tug Valley (Williamson, WV). The Panthers enter the Coalfield A contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Tug Valley was nudged by Mingo Central (Matewan, WV), 35-30, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Indians battle the Tolsia Rebels (Fort Gay, WV) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 5. Sissonville will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Rebels enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 33-6 non-league loss to Wayne (Wayne, WV).
