In Friday's non-league game, the Cypress Springs Panthers (Cypress, TX) football team triumphed over the host Fort Bend Bush Broncos (Richmond, TX), by a tally of 49-7.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Alief Taylor Lions (Houston, TX) in a non-league game, on Thursday, September 5. Cypress Springs will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Lions enter the game with a 0-1 record after their 27-16 non-league loss to Klein Forest (Houston, TX).
