The Williams Valley Vikings football squad scored 48 points and limited the visiting Mahanoy Area Golden Bears to 6 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nativity BVM for a Colonial-Schuylkill - C test on Friday, September 6. Williams Valley will meet a Green Wave squad coming off a 53-7 league win over Pine Grove (Pine Grove, PA). The Green Wave record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Mahanoy Area drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Golden bears travel to Minersville (Minersville, PA) to meet the Battlin' Miners in a Colonial-Schuylkill - C test on Friday, September 6. The Battlin' Miners come into the test with a record of 2-0. Minersville won 44-0 in their recent league test against Shenandoah Valley (Shenandoah, PA)
