Virginia High School Football - Nelson County tops Randolph-Henry
August 30, 2024: Charlotte Court House, VA 23923 The Nelson County Governors football squad scored 28 points and limited the host Randolph-Henry Statesmen to 6 in the Governors non-league triumph on Friday.
The Governors now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stonewall Jackson for a non-league test on Friday, September 6. Nelson County will meet a Generals squad coming off a 41-6 non-league loss to Bath County (Hot Springs, VA). The Generals record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Randolph-Henry drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Statesmen host James River (Buchanan, VA) to meet the Knights in a non-league test on Friday, September 6. The Knights come into the test with a record of 0-1. James River lost 41-3 in their recent non-league test against Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA)
