North Pocono Trojans (Covington Township, PA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Pittston Patriots (Pittston, PA), 23-13 in a non-league battle.

With the win, North Pocono improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Trojans travel to Wyoming Valley West (Plymouth, PA) to play the Spartans in a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. The Spartans go into the battle with a record of 0-2. Wyoming Valley West lost 36-13 in their recent non-league battle against Scranton (Scranton, PA)

The Patriots now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Greater Nanticoke Area for a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. Pittston will play a Trojans team coming off a 26-0 non-league loss to Carbondale Area (Carbondale, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 0-2.
