The Wildcats now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Greenville for a non-league test on Friday, September 6. Sulphur Springs will meet a Lions squad coming off a 26-0 non-league loss to Heritage (Frisco, TX). The Lions record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Poteet drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Pirates host West Mesquite (Mesquite, TX) to meet the Wranglers in a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. The Wranglers come into the test with a record of 1-0. West Mesquite won 37-35 in their recent non-league test against Princeton (Princeton, TX)
