In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Brookfield Central Lancers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Homestead Highlanders.

The Lancers (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Wauwatosa East (Wauwatosa, WI). The Red Raiders enter the non-league challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, Wauwatosa East got by Kimberly (Kimberly, WI), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Highlanders meet the Lake Country Lutheran Lightning (Hartland, WI) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 30. Homestead will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Lightning go into the test with a 1-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Kettle Moraine Lutheran (Jackson, WI).
