The Metro Academy Mavericks volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Center Place Golden Eagles to 1 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mavericks now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Marais des Cygnes Valley for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 2.
