In Saturday's non-league match, the Lamar Vikings (Arlington, TX) volleyball squad prevailed the visiting Creekview Mustangs (Carrollton, TX), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Vikings confront the Lake Ridge Eagles (Mansfield, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, September 2. Lamar will attempt to better on its 11-12 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 17-8 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to McGill-Toolen (Mobile, AL).

With the loss, Creekview drops to 6-16 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Terrell (Terrell, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, September 5.
