Fans at Friday's league contest between the Lamar Vikings (Arlington, TX) and the visiting Bowie Volunteers (Arlington, TX), saw Lamar's volleyball squad notch a victory over Bowie by a score of 3-0.

With the win, Lamar improves its record to 16-16 on the season. The Vikings travel to Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX) to encounter the Gophers in a 6A Region I District 8 battle on Tuesday, September 30. The Gophers go into the battle with a record of 11-9. Grand Prairie lost 3-0 in their recent league battle against Arlington (Arlington, TX)

Next, the Volunteers meet the South Grand Prairie Warriors (Grand Prairie, TX) in a 6A Region I District 8 challenge, on Tuesday, September 30.
