Illinois High School Volleyball - Jefferson winner over Marengo
August 30, 2025: Rockford, IL 61109 Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Jefferson improves its record to 2-3 on the season. The J-Hawks host North Boone (Poplar Grove, IL) to face the Vikings in a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 1-1. North Boone won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Alden-Hebron (Hebron, IL)
The Indians now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Plano for a Kishwaukee River challenge on Wednesday, September 3. Marengo will play a Reapers team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Sandwich (Sandwich, IL). The Reapers record now stands at 2-4.
