Texas High School Volleyball - Nixon can't hold off Laredo LBJ

The Laredo LBJ Wolves tipped the visiting Nixon Mustangs volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Wolves now possess a 18-6 record. They play next when they host LEE for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 2. Laredo LBJ will clash with a Volunteers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over McCollum (San Antonio, TX). The Volunteers record now stands at 13-7.

With the loss, Nixon drops to 11-12 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Palmview (La Joya, TX) to confront the Lobos in a 5A Region IV District 30 match on Tuesday, September 2. The Lobos enter the match with a record of 13-5. Palmview lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Rivera (Brownsville, TX)
