Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Martin Tigers (Laredo, TX), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Nixon improves its record to 12-14 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX) to face the Rattlers in a 5A Region IV District 30 test on Tuesday, September 16. The Rattlers come into the challenge with a record of 2-9. Rio Grande City won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX)

Next, the Tigers play the Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 30 challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Martin will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Gladiators come into the challenge with a 9-15 record after their 3-1 league loss to Mission (Mission, TX).
