In Thursday's non-league contest, the Madison Academy Mustangs (Madison, AL) volleyball squad nudged the host St. John Paul II Falcons (Huntsville, AL), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Mustangs battle the Cullman Bearcats (Cullman, AL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 1. Madison Academy will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record. The Bearcats go into the contest with a 3-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Jasper (Jasper, AL).
