Emerson Mavericks (McKinney, TX) followers left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Independence Knights (Frisco, TX), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Emerson advances its record to 9-10 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Wylie (Wylie, TX) to face the Pirates in a non-league test on Saturday, August 31. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 13-7. Wylie won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Ferris (Ferris, TX)
