In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Pleasant Grove Hawks volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Pine Tree Pirates.

The Hawks (15-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Heights (Nacogdoches, TX). The Blue Devils enter the non-league challenge with a 23-3 record. In their last challenge, Central Heights got by Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Pirates meet the Lindale Eagles (Lindale, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 3. Pine Tree will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Eagles go into the battle with a 17-6 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Troup (Troup, TX).
