Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX) and the host Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX), observed Weslaco's volleyball team hold off Veterans Memorial by a tally of 2-1.

The Panthers (9-11) will now prepare for their contest against Rivera (Brownsville, TX). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Rivera was tipped by Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX), 3-1, in a league contest.
