Georgia High School Softball - Lowndes bounces Berrien
August 4, 2023: Valdosta, GA 31601 Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Berrien Rebels (Nashville, GA), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Thomas County Central for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, August 8. Lowndes will face a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 10-7 non-league win over Wayne County (Jesup, GA). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Berrien falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Rebels host Cairo (Cairo, GA) to face the Syrupmakers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 10. The Syrupmakers enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Cairo won 13-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Pelham (Pelham, GA)
