August 7, 2025: Magnolia, MS 39652 The South Pike Eagles volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Jefferson County Tigers to 0 in the Eagles league triumph on Thursday.
The Eagles now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Salem for a non-league outing on Tuesday, August 12. South Pike will play a Wildcats team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Amite County (Liberty, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Jefferson County drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Hazlehurst (Hazlehurst, MS) to play the Indians in a Class 3A Region 7 outing on Monday, August 11. The Indians come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Hazlehurst lost 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Mendenhall (Mendenhall, MS)
