In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Wayne County War Eagles volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Meridian Wildcats.

The War Eagles (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Quitman (Quitman, MS). The Panthers enter the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Quitman was tipped by Choctaw Central (Philadelphia, MS), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
