In Friday's non-league game, the Juniata Valley Hornets (Alexandria, PA) football team got by the visiting North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA), by a score of 21-20.

The Hornets (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Glendale (Flinton, PA). The Vikings come into the Inter-County - North game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Glendale was tipped by Glendale (Glendale, CA), 33-0, in a non-league game.

The Cougars now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Meyersdale for a Inter-County - South game on Friday, September 8. North Star will battle a Red Raiders team coming off a 14-6 non-league win over Glendale (Flinton, PA). The Red Raiders record now stands at 2-0.
