Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host McDowell Titans (Marion, NC), 44-22 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Tuscola improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Mountaineers host Swain County (Bryson City, NC) to battle the Maroon Devils in a non-league test on Friday, September 8. The Maroon Devils come into the test with a record of 3-0. Swain County won 40-13 in their recent non-league test against Franklin (Franklin, NC)

With the loss, McDowell drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Avery County (Newland, NC) to battle the Vikings in a non-league test on Friday, September 8. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 1-2. Avery County lost 46-0 in their recent non-league test against Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC)
