Game Story

North Carolina High School Football - Franklin knocked off by Swain County

September 1, 2023: Bryson City, NC 28713

Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC), 40-13 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Swain County improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Maroon Devils travel to Tuscola (Waynesville, NC) to confront the Mountaineers in a non-league test on Friday, September 8. The Mountaineers come into the test with a record of 2-1. Tuscola won 44-22 in their recent non-league test against McDowell (Marion, NC)

With the loss, Franklin drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC) to confront the Eagles in a 3A Mountain 7 test on Friday, September 15. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 0-3.
