Maine High School Football - Thornton Academy can't get by Portland
September 1, 2023: Saco, ME 04072 Portland Bulldogs (Portland, ME) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME), 35-28 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Portland improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Edward Little (Auburn, ME) to confront the Red Eddies in a A North test on Friday, September 8. The Red Eddies come into the test with a record of 0-2. Edward Little lost 33-14 in their recent non-league test against Noble (Berwick, ME)
With the loss, Thornton Academy drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Oxford Hills (South Paris, ME) to confront the Vikings in a A South test on Friday, September 8. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 1-1. Oxford Hills won 43-0 in their recent non-league test against Lewiston (Lewiston, ME)
