The Lanier Longhorns held off the visiting Fannin County Rebels volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Longhorns now have a 22-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jackson County for a 6A Area 8 test on Tuesday, September 13. Lanier will confront a Panthers team coming off a 2-0 league win over Gainesville (Gainesville, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 22-2.
