New York High School Soccer - Newburgh Free Academy nudges Kingston
September 10, 2024: Newburgh, NY 12550 Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY) and the visiting Kingston Tigers (Kingston, NY), saw Newburgh Free Academy's soccer squad hold off Kingston by a score of 2-1.
The Goldbacks (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY). The Bushmen enter the Section 9 Division I battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Pine Bush was edged by Rhinebeck (Rhinebeck, NY), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Tigers confront the Middletown Middie Bears (Middletown, NY) in a Section 9 Division I challenge, on Thursday, September 12. Kingston will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Middie Bears go into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 2-0 league loss to Monroe-Woodbury (Central Valley, NY).
