Illinois High School Soccer - Coal City knocks off Beecher
September 10, 2025: Coal City, IL 60416 Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) and the visiting Beecher Bobcats (Beecher, IL), saw Coal City's soccer squad knock off Beecher by a count of 3-0.
The Coalers (8-0) will now prepare for their battle against Serena (Serena, IL). The Huskers enter the non-league battle with a 5-1 record. In their last battle, Serena nipped DePue/Hall (DePue, IL), 3-2, in a league match.
The Bobcats now sport a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Momence for a River Valley match on Thursday, September 11. Beecher will meet a Momence Athletics team coming off a 6-3 league win over Clifton Central (Clifton, IL). The Momence Athletics record now stands at 5-4.
