North Carolina High School Soccer - Draughn R-S Central
September 10, 2025: Rutherfordton, NC 28139 R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), 4-1 in a league test.
With the triumph, R-S Central advances its record to 1-5 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to Chase (Forest City, NC) to play the Trojans in a Western Piedmont 3A/4A bout on Monday, September 15. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Chase lost 5-1 in their recent league bout against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC)
With the loss, Draughn moves to 0-4 on the year. The Wildcats host Patton (Morganton, NC) to play the Panthers in a Western Piedmont 3A/4A bout on Monday, September 15. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Patton won 9-0 in their recent league bout against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC)
