In Saturday's league challenge, the Union Farmers (Union, NJ) football team prevailed the host Plainfield Cardinals (Plainfield, NJ), by a score of 34-12.

The Farmers (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Elizabeth (Elizabeth, NJ). The Minutemen come into the Big Central 5A challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Elizabeth achieved victory over Watchung Hills Regional (Warren, NJ), 13-11, in a league challenge.
