New Jersey High School Football - Elizabeth routed by Union

The Elizabeth Minutemen football team (Elizabeth, NJ), was ripped 34-0 in Friday's league challenge with the host Union Farmers (Union, NJ)

The Farmers (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Westfield (Westfield, NJ). The Blue Devils come into the Big Central 5A challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Westfield was ripped by Linden (Linden, NJ), 20-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Minutemen now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Old Bridge for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 1. Elizabeth will meet a Knights team coming off a 48-28 league win over Monroe Township (Monroe Township, NJ). The Knights record now stands at 3-1.
