Maine High School Soccer - Hodgdon nudges Washburn
September 11, 2023: Hodgdon, ME 04730 Hodgdon Hawks (Hodgdon, ME) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Washburn Beavers (Washburn, ME), 2-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Hawks confront the Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME) in a Class D - North challenge, on Wednesday, September 13. Hodgdon will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Howlers enter the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME).
The Beavers now have a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ashland for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 13. Washburn will confront a Hornets team coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Easton (Easton, ME). The Hornets record now stands at 1-3.
